Your web browser's homepage is the page that appears when you open the browser or click on the "Home" button. Setting a homepage in Google Chrome allows you to have quick and convenient access to your favourite website, search engine, or web portal every time you start your browser. If you want to customise your browsing experience, here's a step-by-step guide on how to set homepage in chrome.
Step 1: Open Google Chrome
Ensure that you have Google Chrome installed on your computer. If it's not already installed, you can download and install it from the official Chrome website (https://www.google.com/chrome/).
Step 2: Access Chrome's Settings
To set your homepage, you need to access Chrome's settings. You can do this by clicking on the three vertical dots (the menu icon) in the upper-right corner of the browser window. This will open a dropdown menu.
Step 3: Choose "Settings"
In the dropdown menu, locate and click on the "Settings" option. This will open the Chrome Settings page in a new tab.
Step 4: Scroll Down to "On startup"
On the Chrome Settings page, scroll down until you see the "On startup" section. This section allows you to choose what happens when you open Chrome.
Step 5: Select "Open a specific page or set of pages"
In the "On startup" section, you'll find three options. To set a specific homepage, choose the second option, which says, "Open a specific page or set of pages." Click on "Add a new page" next to it.
