Project proposal (only presentation): 15%*
Progress update (only presentation): 20%*
Final outcome (presentation with report): 35%*
Term-final exam: 20%*

Deliverable of the project work:
In the course project, you need to do a research work (worth of doing within a semester). There will be four checkpoints for this work -
Project proposal [5-10 minutes ppt presentation]: Due within 3rd week
Progress update [5-10 minutes ppt presentation]: Due just after mid-term
Final presentation [15-20 minutes ppt presentation]: Due within the penultimate week
Project report [A paper-style report on the project work in Latex following IEEE paper format]
Evaluation will be made based on the above deliverable. For instructions on preparing the deliverable, please visit Guidelines.
** All presentations MUST be in English.
Possible topics for paper presentations:
Survey on different aspects on reliability analysis, fault avoidance, fault tolerance, fault masking, system evaluation, reliability enhancement, etc.
Recent (NOT earlier than two years back) advancements on fault tolerant systems and analysis.
Sources: Either a top-tier conference such as SigCom, SenSys, DSN, etc., or a top-ranked journal.
