Grading

Grades will be based on projects and class participation. Each project is roughly 0.8 GPA (4 projects is approximately 3.2). The other 0.8 GPA comes from in class participation and submitting other course assignments. The class participation score is determined both by attendance and filling out the in-class activities, with an extra score component for leading discussion and contributing to group work.

Each project will be graded on a 20-point scale, with 15 points assigned to the written submission and 5 points awarded based on the oral assessment.

To earn a 4.0, you need to complete your projects and complete in-class activities. It is expected that you will not be able to participate in all in-class activities due to absences and other reasons, but you will be able to earn bonus points throughout the quarter to make up for that.
