The most common forms of media that I saw used on other students' sites were movies and tv shows. Some of the sites would give examples of movies (such as Asees Sidhu ) or tv shows (Kieran Beirne). Sometimes they would be the main header as a form of media (Connor Callan), while in others they would be a subheading to something like movies or moving images (Carlos Carrillo)
One of the most common reasons I have seen for people joining this class is that many want to learn about the connection between computers and new forms of media. They wish to learn about the impact that computers can have on computer exclusive media, and other forms not inclusive of computers
Ex: (Aazmir Lakhani, Akash Jothi, and Sehun Joo)
A lot of the students I looked at had a category for social media. Many had listed the platforms they use such as Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, and Instagram being the most commons one I saw.
Ex: (Krishman Prashanth, Joseph Quismorio, Abhiraj)
Based on what I had seen that others had done on their sites, one of the changes I would make to mine is to maybe give details on the names of media I consume (meaning tv names and game names). I had given only the platforms that I engaged with and no specific examples. I could expand HBO to give an example like Game Of Thrones or expand sports into the specific sports I like. I might also reevaluate how I had my higher-level classifications. I classified mine by the object or manner in which I interacted with the media (such as TV, Phone, and Internet). It might make more sense for me to switch these higher-level categories into what I use the object for (i.e entertainment or school work). This would make it more clear in how I interact with the media and what I use the mediums for.
