We are going to use Mookit for Q&A and other discussions as well as posting assignments, etc. Note that the slides and other resources will be posted here, not in Mookit.

Evaluation Components:

This is a research-focused course with a major research project that carries the maximum weightage. Apart from that there will be other components that are also part of research. The tentative weightage for different components are given below. Please note that this is a tentative grading scheme (due to uncertainties related to Covid-19 and events beyond Instructor’s control), and weightage might change.

• Assignment (20%) - Teams of 3-4 students and performance of the team will be evaluated based on their position in the leaderboard.

• Quiz (15%) - Maybe 1 or 2 quizzes.

• Research Paper Presentation (10%) - Graded individually

• Final Research Project (45%) - Teams of 3-4 students. See Project for details.

• Scribing Lectures (10%) - Each lecture, one/two students will be the designated "scribe", taking careful notes during lectures. The scribe note should be based on the notes taken during lecture and the associated reading materials assigned by the instructor. The scribe note should not have any plagiarism, and should be sent to the instructor for review and posting on the web. Please see Resources for more information.
