When designing floor framing, it's important to consider how weight is distributed throughout a building, as well as the structural integrity of the floor system. Here are some things to consider when designing floor framing: 

• Floor loading assessment

This should account for the roof design, the materials and sizes of the framing elements, and the load paths within the structure. 

• Joist spacing

The standard spacing for floor joists is 16 inches on center for 2x6 and 2x8 joists, and 24 inches on center for 2x10 and 2x12 joists. 

• Floor framing plans

These should include information such as the joist spacing, location, and direction, as well as the floor heights and stair openings. 

• Floor joists

These are like the backbone of the house and should be properly installed to ensure a safe and comfortable living space. 

• Subfloor panels

These provide a stable base for the flooring materials and contribute to the overall structural integrity of the home.
