PRIVACY POLICY — CRYSTAL RUSH
Last updated: September 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Crystade : Crystal Rush ("the Game", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. The Game is developed and published by an individual developer. By using the Game, you agree to the practices described here.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information stored only on your device
Your game progress — shard and prism balance, purchased upgrades, rank, deepest depth, lifetime statistics, your chosen rig and the drill bits you have unlocked with in-game shards — along with your settings (music and effect volume, haptics, language) and any unfinished run is stored locally on your device only. We do not upload this data to our servers, and we (the developer) do not have access to it.
Android backup
The Game leaves Android's standard auto-backup enabled. Depending on your device settings, the save data above may be backed up to your own Google account so your progress returns on a new device. That backup belongs to you and we have no access to it. You can turn backup off in your Android settings.
Information collected by third-party services
The Game uses the following third-party services, which may collect information to provide their features:
• Google AdMob (advertising): To show ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, approximate (non-precise) location derived from your IP address, and general device information. This is used to display and measure ads.
• Google Analytics for Firebase (analytics): To understand how the Game is used — for example how deep players get, how often a run ends in a loss, which rig and drill bit were used, and whether the optional ad is watched — in an aggregated and non-identifying way, to improve the Game. This may include an app instance identifier, device model and operating system, and approximate country or region derived from your IP address.
• Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting): If the Game crashes, Crashlytics sends a crash report the next time you open it, so the fault can be found and fixed. A report contains the technical details of the crash (which part of the code failed), the device model and operating system version, the Game's version, and a random installation identifier created only for crash reporting. It contains no name, no account and nothing you typed, and nothing is sent if the Game does not crash.
The Game contains no in-app purchases and no user accounts.
These services are operated by Google. Their handling of data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
2. HOW INFORMATION IS USED
• To display rewarded advertisements and keep the Game free to play.
• To understand general usage patterns and improve the Game's balance and difficulty.
• To find and fix crashes.
• To save your progress and settings on your own device.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use this information to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with data from other sources.
3. ADVERTISING
The Game shows rewarded ads only. Watching one is entirely optional: at the end of a run you may choose to watch an ad to grow your haul. If you do not, the Game plays in full and no level, feature or content stays locked. There are no forced full-screen ads.
Your consent comes first. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Game shows Google's consent form the first time you open it, and no ad is requested until you have made a choice. You may accept, decline or choose individual purposes; if you decline personalised advertising, ads can still be shown but they are not personalised. You can change your choice at any time under Settings > Privacy Options in the Game's main menu. Outside these regions no form is required and the button does not appear.
Stated plainly for transparency: so that an ad is ready when you want it, once advertising is permitted the Game requests one from AdMob at startup. This means a connection to Google is made when you launch the Game, even if you never watch an ad.
You can reset or delete your advertising identifier under Settings > Privacy > Ads on your device.
4. PERMISSIONS
- Internet and network state — to load ads, send anonymous usage statistics and send crash reports. With no connection the Game works fully; the ad button simply does not appear.
- Vibration — damage feedback, and it can be turned off in Settings.
The advertising and analytics libraries add technical permissions of their own: the advertising identifier, Android's ad-services APIs, install attribution, and the ability to finish a short background task. They are part of how those services work rather than choices the Game makes, and Google Play lists them all on the app's page.
None of them grants access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, files, phone state or your list of installed apps. The Game does not request or access any of those.
5. CHILDREN
The Game is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
All game progress is stored on your device, so uninstalling the Game deletes it. If you also want to remove the Android backup copy, delete it from your Google account backup settings. Analytics data and crash reports are retained by Google according to its own retention settings; you can reset your advertising identifier at any time to break the link with past advertising data.
7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this Policy changes, this page is updated and the date above changes. If an update changes how data is handled, we will say so here alongside that app update.
Version 2.0 (September 2026) added rigs and drill bits to the Game. It collects nothing new: the analytics events are unchanged, and your rig and drill choices are saved on your device alongside the rest of your progress. This update is listed here because the sentence above promises it, not because data handling changed.
Version 2.1 (September 2026) does change what analytics collects, and this is the change. A finished run now also reports which rig and which drill bit was used, alongside the depth, outcome and time it already reported. Two smaller events were added: one when you switch rigs, and one when you buy a drill bit. All three are game choices, not personal data — no name, no identifier, no free text — and they exist to answer one question the Game cannot answer on its own: whether the four rigs are a real choice or only a menu. Your rig and drill are still saved on your device as before; what is new is that the aggregated, non-identifying event now carries which one it was.
Version 2.2 (September 2026) makes two changes. It adds crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), described in section 1: a report is sent only after a crash and carries technical details, not personal ones. And it asks for your consent before any ad is requested in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, with a Privacy Options button in Settings to change that choice later, described in section 3.
