What Is Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication is yet another layer of protection from your password. As such, with two-factor authentication turned on for your account, you will have to input your two-factor authentication code whenever you need to take a certain action from the app.
Crypto.com employs two-factor authentication that is in the form of TOTP. It produces an exclusive 6-digit code* that lasts for just 30 seconds. You will need to enter your code and password if you wish to do something affecting your assets.
*It should be a number-only code.
What activities within the Crypto.com app activate two-factor authentication?
Crypto transfers to other app users
Crypto withdrawal
Fiat withdrawal
Whitelist wallet addresses
Note that after activating 2FA, you will be prompted to input the code for any transaction type (withdraw crypto or fiat, whitelist wallet addresses, buy gift card, mobile phone credit, etc.) if you use an untrusted device.
Please see the step-by-step instructions.
Which authentication tools should I use?
Providing strong security as well as a great user experience have always been of top concern to us. We, therefore, allow different types of authentication tools. The best authentication application that can be recommended for you to use is the Authy (Android) / Twilio Authy (iOS) application.
Other than that, Authy supports this generation of the 6-digit time-based code from other authentication applications in the market. Apart from such, it possesses the following features:
Multiple device feature
2FA codes are automatically synced on any new device you authorise. And in the case of a lost/stolen or turned off device, it can be easily de-authorised from an authenticated device.
Encrypted recovery back-ups
Authy makes use of encrypted backup stored in the cloud. You can still access Authy (Android) / Twilio Authy (iOS) accounts even in the case of a lost phone, from other devices.
We do support multiple authenticators, so you can still use other authenticators like Google Authenticator, and you may switch to Authy at any time (Android) / Twilio Authy (iOS).

How to choose the network while making deposit with/withdrawal of cryptos
Updated more than 4 months ago
The Crypto.com app now supports depositing and withdrawing from multiple networks for some tokens; please make sure that the network you have selected is the same network that the external platform is on which you are withdrawing funds from or depositing funds to; otherwise, the deposited funds will not be added to your available balance.
In case the external platform only supports ERC20, then you have to select the ERC20 deposit network.
For example, you could only send ERC20 to another ERC20, however, if you attempt to send ERC20 tokens to another BSC address you may lose your funds.
