On September 6th 2025 we had our fall annual Trap Shoot. It was a chilly day with a hint of rain showers. The action was halted at one point due to showers but that was brief. Lunch was served from noon until 3pm so everyone had a full belly. Below is a copy of the Class winners and scores for the day.
We tried out a new event during the shoot called The 30 Bird Flurry. A team of two shooters has to hit as many of the 30 targets as they can. This years winning team hit 27 of the thirty , Congrats.

Another great day for a Bear-Dog Swim event. the weather was just about perfect, lot of prizes and planty of food from our Club's kitchen.

Our Club donated the proceeds to the Michigan Hunting Dog Federation.
The first bear-dog swim has come and gone. The weather that day was windy, wet and chilly but the participaints didnt mind at all because they still had thier winter coats on! For breakfast he club served breakfast burritos, hashbrowns, coffee & juice and for lunch Sloppy Joes, Hot Dogs, Chicken Nuggets, French Fries, Cowboy Beans and refreshments.

April 26th was the date for our Annual Club cleanup. The weather was perfect for working around the grounds. Several members showed up with rakes, shovels and smiles to partake including some representatives from the local Boy Scouts chapter.

We had our first event of the 2025 season on Sunday April 4th. Its was a pancake breakfast with a great turnout. Ill post the numbers below. The weather was clear and chilly but everyone had a great time visiting and filling their tummy's.

The December 8th CPL class when well with around 60 folks in attendance. The weather cooperated and it turned out to be a nice day for the class to do their marksmanship training on the range. There were donut holes and coffee to keep everyone going and the class passed with flying colors thanks to the Great Instructors putting on the class.
Our club event calendar has come to an end. We would like to thank all our members, families & friends who helped us throughout the year with the Special Events the club sponsored.
It was a beautiful fall morning for the Annual Fall Pancake Breakfast this year. We served around 95 Adults, 5 children under 12 and a handful of kids under 6 years of age.
Everyone had plenty of blueberry pancakes to eat, hash browns, sausage and OJ too.
It was a nice time to sit / talk with friends and listen to some Polka music in the background.
The 2024 annual September trap shoot had a pretty good showing this year. We had around 26 shooters signup. The weather was perfect and everyone had plenty of food and fun.

The weather for this years June beardog trials was perfect and the dogs all had a great time, (So did the handlers). The Club served Breakfast and Lunch for the hungry folks that attended. Lots of smiles and fellowship.

May 19th our Club sponsored a CPL Class put on by Troy Cunninhgham & Don Duchene Jr. It was a beautiful day in Crump for the event. About 60 folks signed up for the class. Roger Sylvester cooked up some slopy joes with chip for the group. Everyone passed with flying colors and learned alot about Safety and the Regulations involving Handguns. Thanks to Roger, Troy & Don!
It was a perfect day for the May Swim, sunny 80 degres and a light breeze. The dogs showed up with their handlers for the event & the Club cooked breakfast / lunch. Everyone had a great time with several raffles including a 50-50 drawing. Thanks to all the Club Members that showed up to help in the kitchen and at the pond.

The May 5th Pancake breakfast turned out very well this year. We had beautiful weather, music and fellowship plus the great food. The kitchen staff did a great job and we had several complments. It was nice to see everyone having a good time working and socializing.

April 28th turned out to be a rainy day so the scheduled Club Clea-Up did not accomplish much.
The Bear Dog guys did get the Graffiti removed from their staging area.
Some leaves and brush hauled to the woods.
We had a lower number for our April breakfast this year than usual. We served about 190 guests. The weather was just right and everyone had a great time working the kitchen and mingling with friends & family. Thanks to all the club members for thier help to put on this event. Our next breakfast is in May 5th. See you all there.
It was another beautiful fall day at the club for our annual fall cleanup. Hotdogs and brats made a nice lunch and the work day ended before 1:00 PM.
We had a small turnout for the club's work day, only 10 members, but they got a lot of jobs done around the property. The ranges had sticks, roots, and other debris removed. The property on the north side of Prevo had the brush trimmed back some. Both of these were done to allow the grass cutter to keep the perimeters mowed better. The target stands on the 25 yd and 50 yd pistol berms were removed as we now have portable stands to use. Hopefully this eliminates the debris that gets left behind. The fence around the pond was sprayed with weed killer.
Thanks to the Club Members who spent their Saturday morning making our club look nice for the winter months ahead.
It was a beautiful fall crump day for the Club's annual Trap Shoot. There were around 45 shooters from young to old. Rosies Pies catered our lunch chicken dinners along with Jim's famous Cowboy beans, brat's, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, cold slaw & more.

The American Daughters of Conservation & Our Club recently sponsored a 2-Day Hunters Safety Class. There were around 25 students & parents in attendance. Lunch was served and a few parents gave lectures about safety equipment and their personal experiences. Thanks to everyone who sponsored and participated in the class.
Another great day for a bear dog swim at the Club. The weather was perfect and the dogs were ready to swim. Below are just a few of the events held:

Perfect weather for the swim a bit chilly in the morning but the dogs loved it! The turnout was very good and everyone had a great time durning the swim, auctions and raffles.

The weather was good and the outcome great. We served around 205 meals, sold hats and 50-50's. Everyone had planty to eat and there were a lot of positive comments about the food and service. The Bay County Health Department paid us a visit and gave us the thumbs up.

It was a bit wet and cool for the annual cleanup at the club. We did manage to accomplish several tasks that needed attention. Several trees were cut down, leaves cleaned up and branches trimed. Around A traphouse new lanscapping and mulch applied and the retaining wall updated. At the Pistol range new permanant yardage makers were installed. The Beardog pond poject is coming alon nicely and looks great!
Everyone had a great time visiting and enjoying a well prepared meal.
We server about 243, sold 50-50's and sodas.
The turnout was good and our club made some money.
We had a couple of new members sign up.
Next breakfast is in May.

The new outdoor range for pistols was very nice. It made it very nice to shoot and clean up.

Not a bad word was heard about the food it was excellent as expected & where else can you get all you can eat for $8 anymore?

The weather was a little warm but other than that a perfect day to shoot clay pigeons! The turnout was not as good as we would have like but all who showed up had a great time. The food was perfect and the guns were smoking.

The weather was just about perfect for the dogs to run & swim. We had a pretty good turnout for this event but there will be discussion about a date change for next year due to conflicts with other clubs. Our scheduled food truck had to cancel due to machinical issues so a few members stepped up and prepared a breakfast & lunch for the group. They spent Friday afternoon preparing Breakfast Burriots for Saturday morning & worked all day in the kitchen Saturday. A Special (Thank You) to those members.

On January 9th 2022 the club sponsored a CPL class put on by Troy Cunningham & Don Duchene Jr.
There were 53 students in attendance.
Classroom training was informative and entertaining as always.

Our club sponsered its annual trap shoot on Sept 11 2021. The weather was perfect and the clays were flying. There were 156 lines shot plus the Flushing Rooster, a shoot off and Sportsman Class Shoot. We had a BB gun shoot a .410 & 22 riffle turkey shoot for the kids also.

Food was supplied by the Rolling Smokehouse this year and most everyone like the idea of a caterer. The food was reasonably priced and delicious whith no mess or fuss for the club.

We had a great turnout for the May 2021 Bear dog Trials this year. The club would like to thank all those who sponsored and helped out at this event.

We had a much better turnout for the Febuary breakfast than we did in January, mostly due to the better weather & a bit of online advertising. The food was excellent and the coffee hot. We served about 183 meals combined and had to go out for extra OJ & creamer.

Thanks to all the volunteers for their help on Saturday for setup and Sunday for the event.
January 26th: The Club hosted a CPL class from 8 am until 4 pm. The cost for the class was $125 or for members $100. The class was taught by Bay County Sheriff Troy Cunningham. There were about 70-80 participants in the class and all passed with flying colors! Troy, Don & staff did an excellent job training everyone and the range training is always fun too. The weather held out and the temperature wasn't too bad.
Our first club event of the 2020 has come and gone. Turnout was down from previous years due to inclement weather conditions. It is always a hit or miss this time of the year but we did serve around 109 breakfast meals. The food was excellent and the coffee hot.
Thanks to everyone who braved the road conditions and ventured out.
A big thanks also to our members who helped out both in & out of the kitchen this year.
Soup Supper Recap
The annual club soup supper Saturday 19, 2019 was a great success with over 180 dinners sold & several takeouts orders.
We had variety of homemade Soups, Breads & Brownies for everyone to sample. The Potato and Bean soups were the first to runout. The wild Game soup (Czarina), was a special treat for young and old to enjoy.
We received wonderful reviews form all the folks who came in with family and friends for an enjoyable afternoon.
A special thanks to all the cooks who donated their time and secret ingredients to create their masterpiece soups and deserts.

CPL Class September 29th had several attendees. All passed with flying colors due to the expert training given by Sheriff Cunningham and Sargent Duchene.

51.6 squads of trap shot = 258 rds. (In 2018 we had 230 Rds).

Turkey/Ham shoot had 12 rds.
9 Boxes shotgun shells sold.

The club would like to thank all the members who showed up and worked the event many of them worked a double shift to help out. Without them our club could not have events like this.

There was a better turnout for our second Bear Dog Swim Races of the 2019 season. We had 53 total entries for the event, 15 of which were entered into the Bear Bay 2 Dog contest and another 5 that competed in the Bear Bay 3 Dog contest. The Hounds-men fought through yet another adverse weather day but it ended up being a great success. Proceeds went to the MI Hunting Dog Federation.
