Then, CHOOSE from the vocabulary words below (write them down right now!) for your WordArt Drawing. Then go to WordArt.com and make your image. TURN IT IN under Week 2 assignment in Google Classroom when done (the video explains HOW...watch the WHOLE thing).

1st Graders-use at least 3 words
2nd-at least 4 words
3rd-at least 5 words
4th-at least 6 words
5th-at least 7 words
6th-use ALL the words

online - The term "online" usually means being connected to or on the Internet.

computer - A programmable electronic device for storing and processing data.

keyboard - A board made of keys which, along with a mouse, serves as a primary input device for a computer.

home row - The keys to which the four fingers of each hand should return as a base when touch typing.

mouse - A hand operated pointer device that, along with a keyboard, serves as a primary input device for a computer.

program - Executable software that runs on a computer. Also known as an application.

website - A collection of we pages.

internet - An international computer network used for many kinds of electronic communications.

bookmark - A bookmark is a saved shortcut that directs your browser to a specific web page.

If you are 3rd-6th grade student, continue your TYPING practice (Typing.com in the Portal). Do at LEAST 15 minutes or MORE this week. I WILL be checking your progress.

NEXT WEEK, there will be a QUIZ on the basics of typing (posture, home row fingering, where you should be looking, etc.), so be sure you get through several lessons so you are prepared.

This How to Type video (from last week's lesson) should prepare you for most of the questions on the quiz, if you watch it carefully and listen closely.
