Lead Line Lessons (Ages 4-6 | 30 minutes) - $35/lesson
Perfect for young beginners, these lessons provide a safe, fun, and confidence-building introduction to horseback riding. Each session includes a brief grooming and tacking experience, followed by approximately 10 minutes of lead-line riding. Instruction focuses on balance exercises, basic walking and halting, steering, and developing comfort and confidence in the saddle.
Beginner Lessons (Ages 7-17 | 60 minutes) - $55/lesson
Beginner lessons are ideal for new riders who are ready to learn foundational horsemanship skills. During this one-hour session, students receive assistance with grooming and tacking up/down and spend approximately 25–30 minutes riding. Lessons emphasize basic riding skills, safety, and growing independence with the horse.
Intermediate Lessons (Ages 12-17 | 45 minutes) - $50/lesson
Designed for more experienced riders, intermediate lessons are for students who can independently groom and tack up/down. Riders spend the full lesson time in the saddle and progress through low-level dressage and jumping.
Leasing opportunities are available to established intermediate students in our lesson program.
Quarter-Lease - $325/month
Includes a weekly lesson and four practice rides per month.
Half-Lease - $425/month
Includes a weekly lesson and eight practice rides per month.
Full-Lease - not available at this time.
Offered regularly throughout the winter season when riding is limited due to cold weather and arena availability, Pony Pals HM sessions are one-hour group lessons focused on horse management and care. We pair the HorseSense Learning Levels curriculum with the United States Pony Club curriculum to provide a well-rounded, progressive education. Each session explores a new topic and combines hands-on learning with an engaging read-aloud and age-appropriate worksheets, including coloring activities and games. Lessons are thoughtfully differentiated to meet a range of ages and abilities, ensuring each participant is both supported and challenged. These interactive lessons keep young equestrians learning, connected, and excited all winter long.
Failure to follow these policies, including repeated non-payment, will result in removal from the lesson program.
To ensure consistency for our riders and to cover facility and school horse expenses, all lessons must be paid in full by the first of each month. Riders are required to enroll in either weekly or biweekly lessons.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of a scheduled lesson or no-shows will still be charged.
Lessons may be rescheduled if the “real feel” temperature is below 10°F or above 90°F. Gabby may also choose to do an unmounted lesson in lieu of a riding lesson at her discretion. This decision will be communicated the day before lessons. Any approved make-up lessons must be completed by the end of the same month.
Please arrive on time for lessons. Arriving late will result in a shortened lesson time, as we are unable to extend lessons beyond their scheduled slot.
Any guests, including children, who accompany riders must follow all barn rules and safety protocols, including appropriate footwear and safe behavior at all times, and sign a release of liability.
Students must be in good standing and consistently participating in weekly lessons to attend shows. Riders are required to attend their scheduled lesson immediately prior to a show.
All riders must have their own ASTM/SEI-certified riding helmet and proper riding boots for lessons. If you need recommendations or help obtaining equipment, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re happy to help. We have some boots and helmet to use until students are able to obtain their own.
