CROSSTOWN is a band based in LA founded and fronted by singer and producer Danny Mitchell. We pride ourselves on embodying the DIY ethos in everything we do and living in total creative freedom. CROSSTOWN’s style is Indie Pop Rock, with influences from an eclectic mix of genres like New Wave, Indietronica, Pop-Punk, and Alternative R&B. Our live shows aren’t your run-of-the-mill local shows, they’re events where we put you on to other upbeat and talented Southern California bands and artists of all genres, and sometimes with silly themes reflected in costumes and decorations. Some fun places CROSSTOWN has performed include dive bars, record stores, restaurants, rock clubs like Harvard and Stone, a mini music festival on the Sky deck of Hollywood's Everly Hotel, a beautiful park in the San Fernando Valley, and many house parties from Long Beach to Santa Barbara. And no matter where, we will bring the same level of energy any stage we perform.
With our debut album "Rotating Cast" out now, we want every single song in our catalogue, from the bombastic “Stacy’s Man” to the subdued “Colima Road”, to have its own fanbase and place in the world of music, and we are very excited to perform and tour our new music in 2025 and 2026! Come to our shows!!
We have released our debut album “Rotating Cast” on all streaming platforms and a free zine to accompany the project. The name “Rotating Cast” honors the many people who rotated in and out of the main lineup during the making of this album, and the overall themes touched on in the album include moving to a new city, post-grad existentialism, pursuing your art while dealing with everyday responsibilities like rent and a job, healthy and unhealthy idolization, and depression and internet addiction.
