Organisers

Katharina Boudgoust

Katharina is a postdoctoral researcher in the Cryptography and Security team of the Aarhus University, Denmark, hosted by Peter Scholl. She is interested in lattice-based cryptography, and more specifically in the computational hardness assumptions underlying lattice-based cryptosystems. In November 2021, Katharina finished her PhD at the IRISA laboratory in Rennes, France, under the supervision of Adeline Roux-Langlois and Pierre-Alain Fouque. At IRISA, she was a member of the Gender Equality Commission and co-organized the first four editions of a reading circle on feminist literature for computer scientists.

Maria Corte-Real Santos

Maria is a third year PhD candidate at University College London (UCL), UK under the supervision of Philipp Jovanovic and Sarah Meiklejohn. Her main research interest is isogeny-based cryptography, a type of post-quantum cryptography. During her time as a student at the University of Cambridge, Maria was a member of the committee for the Women in Mathematics Society. More recently, she was a member of the organising committee of the Cybersecurity Summer School 2022 hosted at UCL, and currently co-organises the seminar series at the Information Security Group in UCL.

Erin Hales

Erin is a fourth year part-time PhD candidate on the CDT programme in the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her current research is in homomorphic encryption and lattice-based cryptography more generally. Erin is on the committee of the Women in Security and Mathematics (WISDOM) group at Royal Holloway. In July 2022, Erin co-organised the 4-day Workshop on Foundations and Applications of Lattice-based Cryptography at ICMS in Edinburgh.

Mahshid Riahinia

Mahshid is a second-year PhD student in cryptography under the supervision of Alain Passelègue at ENS Lyon, France. Her research interests are mainly advanced cryptographic protocols. She obtained her master’s degree in Computer Science from ENS Lyon and her bachelor’s degree from the Sharif University of Technology in Iran. As of organizing experience, she has organized multiple events concerning environmental topics during her bachelor’s.
