About me
I began my academic journey with a B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli. In my final year, I was selected for a year-long exchange program at IIT Madras, where I specialized in Geotechnical Engineering and completed my undergraduate project under the guidance of Dr. R.G. Robinson. During my coursework at IIT Madras, I became increasingly interested in the environmental dimensions of civil engineering, particularly those related to agriculture and water resources. This led me to pursue a PhD in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering at IIT Madras
As a crop modeling researcher passionate about improving agricultural sustainability through science. I have developed multiscale process-based models to study water use efficiency in crops under climate stress. My work spans plant biophysics, ecohydrology, and ML-driven simulations, focusing on stomatal conductance, energy balance, and canopy fluxes. I combine mechanistic understanding with data to bridge the gap between theory and field application. With expertise in crop biophysical responses and proficiency in modeling, I aim to contribute to climate-resilient agriculture and a food-secure future through impactful, interdisciplinary research.
