A Crop Swap is a simple way for our community to share what we grow.
Got too many courgettes? Spare seedlings? Seeds you won't use? More fruit than your family can eat?
Bring your surplus along and share it.
There are no prices and no need to make equal swaps. Bring what you can, take what you can use and enjoy meeting other local growers.
We especially welcome spray-free, homegrown produce and plants.
You don’t need a garden to be part of Crop Swap Horowhenua.
Come along, have a look, meet local growers, learn something new and take home something you can use or grow.
You can also bring useful things gardeners can reuse, such as clean plant pots, seedling trays, egg cartons and jars with lids.
The swap is about sharing, reducing waste and connecting our community – not about how much you bring.
Bring what you have spare – whether you grew it, made it, propagated it, saved it or have something useful gathering dust in the shed.

At our monthly in-person Crop Swap, bring along whatever you have to share and add it to the swap tables. Have a look at what others have brought, have a chat, and take home something you can use.
There’s no weighing, pricing or keeping score. Bring what you can, take what you can use – and if you have nothing to bring this time, come anyway.
Between our monthly meet-ups, our Facebook Group is an always-open digital Crop Swap. Offer what you have spare, ask for something you’re looking for, arrange a local swap, or share growing knowledge anytime.
