Dear Crockett PTSA Members,
We hope you’ll join us for our final PTSA meeting of the year tomorrow, Thursday, May 7th at 6:00 PM in the library.
We’ll take time to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished together this year, elect our new board members, confirm next year’s chair positions, and support CAC as they close out their year and plan ahead.
Please reply to this email if you are able to attend.
We need at least 10 voting PTSA members (who have paid dues) present in order to hold elections. If we don’t meet quorum, we will need to schedule another meeting—so your response really matters in helping us plan.
I’m so sorry that I won’t be able to attend tomorrow evening. Emily Gatlin will be leading the meeting, and I know y'all will be in great hands.
As I wrap up my time as PTSA president, I just want to say what an incredible experience these past two years have been. I’ve truly loved getting to know so many of you and working alongside such thoughtful, dedicated people.
A few heartfelt thank-yous:
Sara Moren for keeping our finances strong and steady as Treasurer
Emily Gatlin taking notes for us and supporting events such as Pride Week and the concessions at the carnival
Carrie King for her work as VP of Membership
Alicia Henderson for making staff feel appreciated and cared for all year
Cathryn Emory for leading beautification efforts and supporting the garden club
Erin Lane for helping create such a fun and successful Crockett Carnival
Brianna Moehnke for leading our CAC and helping to reimagine what we might do in the future
Shana King for always being supportive of PTSA's ideas and being ready to jump in and help
And to the many others who showed up, volunteered, shared ideas, and contributed in big and small ways—thank you. Your efforts made a real difference for our students, staff, and families.
We are truly building something special with the Crockett PTSA, and I’m excited to stay involved next year as a member and continue supporting this incredible community.
I’ve attached the minutes from our last two meetings, which we will need to approve.
Also, the Theater Boosters are hosting their own silent auction with some great items—be sure to check it out here and bid on something special!
Thank you again for everything you’ve given to this community. I’m so grateful to be part of it and look forward to seeing you around Crockett.
Warmly,
Sara Freund
