Welcome to Wishbone Works
I’m a Maryland maker with a style shaped early by a very individual mother. She worked for Betty Cooke, the legendary Maryland jewelry designer, and had that unmistakable 1980s Baltimore art-school eye: MICA, modern design, Marimekko, Carlos Falchi, Ralph Lauren tweed, wool, leather, and never lace.
My own style grew out of that mix, with a little punk rock cowgirl in it too. I’m most at home in Blundstones and rolled-up jeans, a ribbed wool turtleneck layered under a linen sleeveless tunic, and a big scrappy, slouchy bag. Workwear, old barns, oversized shapes, dark neutrals, olive, tobacco, rust and oxblood all feel like home to me.
Wishbone Works is where that inheritance meets my own hands. I make each bag one at a time, following shape, texture, proportion, and instinct. A little of my mother is in every one.
