2025 Tryout Schedule:
9a-12:30p Monday August 18
9a-12:30p Tuesday August 19
9a-12:30p Wednesday August 20
Players are expected to attend all 3 days. In 2025, teams were chosen Wednesday evening, and practices began Thursday, August 21.
If you are interested in trying out, please complete registration and all its requirements (e.g. documentation of recent physical exam, completion certificates from free online concussion and implicit bias courses) before the deadline-- usually early-to-mid-August. The Athletic Trainers prefer that you complete and upload all of the required steps at once (preferably in July). If this is done incorrectly or is incomplete, you will not be allowed to try out.

What to expect:
Fitness testing. 2024 Fitness Tests:
10x100yard sprints: Run the length of a soccer field ten times in 18 seconds, with a 60-second jog back to the starting line. Players get an extra 30-second rest after the 4th and 7th runs.
12-minute run. (Varsity expectation= 6.25 laps). This run happens on the track -- please bring running shoes!
Goalkeepers do the same fitness tests as everyone else. Freshmen are encouraged to do their best on each test. Varsity and JV players who do not meet the fitness test goals do extra fitness training during pre-season. A recommended summer fitness regimen is here.
Common soccer practice activities, e.g. technical drills, small-sided gameplay, small and large-field scrimmaging.
Weather. Tryout sessions are rarely canceled and often hot. Players should bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
