Critical Crisis Model Untied Nations was co-founded by Sarvesh Sobrun, Sanskriti Pathania, and Dana Gutu on 29th July, 2020.
U.K./Mauritius
Hi! My name is Sarvesh Sobrun and I am one of the co-founders of CCMUN. I am an 18-year-old Mauritian who grew up in the U.K. I am currently completing my A levels at a British boarding school. I have a love affair with Math and have always had a passion for the Sciences. I enjoy playing various sports, debating, and travelling. My interests in economics and international affairs are what initially got me interested in MUN. Soon after joining, I've found the debates and discussions we have during MUN sessions to be addictive.
My favorite part of an MUN is the Crisis Committees. I love the fast pace and the intensity of the debate that always keeps me on my toes. I've also recognized that many delegates feel intimidated and “scared” of crisis committees and because of this, I was inspired to create CCMUN - a platform to allow delegates to practice their skills when it comes to impromptu public speaking and debating, as well as boosting their overall confidence and understanding of crisis committees.
Qatar/India
Hi! My name is Sanskriti and I am a grade 10 student living in Qatar. I am very ambitious about what I do and have a great passion for MUNs. I am very interested in diplomacy and learning about how the world works. My creative and curious mind helps me overcome any impediments. CCMUN is the first MUN I co-founded and I'm really excited about it. I have been doing MUN for about two years starting from when I was 12. I have been in eight MUNs as a delegate, three MUNs as an EB, and three MUNs as a member of the Secretariat. This MUN marks my fourth conference as a member of the Secretariat.
Being Deputy Secretary General is just a new height of my MUN career. I love to travel and see new places all around the world. I'm also very interested in sports and was my middle school’s team captain for basketball. I have also been a part of my school's student body and I excel academically as well. I truly believe CCMUN can be a real success.
Romania/Moldova
Salut! My name is Dana and I am a Year 13 student in the United Kingdom. Energetic and curious, I seek opportunities that would enhance my potential and interest in economics and international relations. “Eager to learn, creative, and with an eye for details” is the way I would describe myself. With a logical mind, I enjoy overcoming challenges by using a diplomatic approach, organization, and dedication. I am quite new to the astounding world of the Model United Nations, with just a bit over 2 years of experience. I have chaired at the RAASMUN2020 and participated in numerous other MUNs.
Being Director-General for CCMUN is just another milestone in what I believe is a pathway to new opportunities. I am an outgoing person and enjoy socializing. Being a voracious reader is a hobby that takes time, but I couldn’t imagine my life without books. I like mathematics, debating, board games, and all kinds of puzzles. Just like many real-life crises, puzzles may take seconds or even weeks to solve, for which we need consistent effort, planning, and patience.
