Cristin Dillard is an educator, instructional leader, and lifelong learner dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for student success. Her career has spanned multiple roles, including classroom teacher, library media specialist, technology coach, instructional leader, and state education administrator, providing her with a comprehensive perspective on teaching, learning, leadership, and organizational improvement.
As an Education Administrator with the Alabama State Department of Education, Cristin leads initiatives focused on college and career readiness, educator and student talent development, and the statewide implementation of the Alabama Multi-Tier System of Supports (AL-MTSS). Her work emphasizes building strategic partnerships, designing high-quality professional learning experiences, and supporting educators and leaders in their efforts to improve outcomes for all students.
Collaboration serves as the foundation of Cristin’s leadership philosophy. She believes meaningful and sustainable improvement occurs when educators, families, community partners, and students unite around a shared vision for success. Throughout her career, she has led and supported state, regional, and local initiatives designed to strengthen instructional practices, increase student engagement, leverage technology to enhance learning, and create pathways that prepare students for lifelong success.
Cristin’s expertise includes strategic planning, professional learning design and facilitation, program implementation, capacity building, continuous improvement, and systems-level leadership. She has worked extensively with school districts, regional agencies, professional organizations, and state-level teams to develop, coordinate, and evaluate initiatives that advance student achievement and organizational effectiveness.
