CRISJ Research Mentorship Program
Welcome to the CRISJ Research Mentorship Program!
The CRISJ Research Mentorship Program provides students an opportunity to participate in research and creative activity under the guidance of Sac State faculty mentors. This program aims to provide undergraduate students with access to high quality research experiences, faculty mentorship, and preparation for graduate school. The CRISJ Research Mentoring Program also strives to cultivate critical scholars and advocates for social justice.
Program Structure
The CRISJ Research mentorship Program requires a one-year commitment from student participants:
During fall semester, students meet with the CRISJ Mentoring Coordinator and fellow participants for mentoring sessions.
During spring semester, students work with their assigned faculty mentor on a guided/supervised research project.
Student participants present their research at the annual CRISJ Research Mentorship Conference in late spring semester.
Student Eligibility
The CRISJ Research Mentorship Program is open to upper-division undergraduate Sac State students of any major. The program is geared for students interested in research that revolves around race, immigration, and/or social justice issues.
