Welcome to the Crimson Cliffs Color Guard page!
Our high school color guard club serves as a performing arts group that enhances the school’s marching band and independent music ensembles through visually engaging performances. The main purpose of a color guard is to add a visual dimension to music by using flags, rifles, sabers, and other equipment in synchronized routines, often performed during halftime shows, parades, or competitions. Color guard combines elements of dance, choreography, and athleticism, creating a captivating visual story that complements the music.
Additionally, a color guard club fosters teamwork, discipline, creativity, and school spirit, offering students a chance to develop their performance skills while contributing to the overall atmosphere of school events. The club often provides a sense of belonging, allowing members to work together toward a shared goal of artistic expression.
No prior experience is needed to join Color Guard (Grades 9-12 and from any school in the Washington County School District as long as your school doesn't have a color guard) We take new members all throughout the year, but earlier in the year is better in order to perform and compete.
*if you are from a different school that does not offer color guard you are still eligible to join, email Coach Katie
