On your machine, press & hold the power button and arrow button for 15 seconds. The power button will turn solid red, and the arrow button will turn solid white.
Unplug the machine from the power outlet and plug the power cable back in after two seconds.
Now, turn on the Cricut machine.
Launch Design Space on your computer.
Look at the left side of the canvas and click the three horizontal lines next to Home.
From the list, select Update Firmware.
Next, choose Smart Cutting Machine, and then click on the machine you are using.
Click Next through the Prepare Workspace and Find an Outlet screen.
Select the Connection type, then click “Update.”
Once the update is complete, click on the Done option.

Step 1: Uninstall Design Space
On your PC, click the search icon next to the Windows Start button.
Search for and open the Control Panel.
Select Programs and Features.
Scroll down the list and find Cricut Design Space.
Select Design Space, click on Uninstall, and then click OK.
Close the window and open File Explorer.
Go to the Windows (C:) drive and select the “Users” folder.
Click on the folder you are logged into.
Now, open the Cricut Design Space folder.
Click on the Local folder.
Select the files in the folder, then click the Delete icon in the toolbar.
Once done, close the window, right-click the Recycle Bin > Empty Recycle Bin > Yes.
Close the window and restart the PC.
Step 2: Download & Install Design Space
Once the system powers back on, open any browser and search the official Cricut website (design.cricut.com).
When the site opens, tick the box next to “I agree to the Cricut Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.”
After that, click on “Download” to download the latest version.
Once the download is done, open the downloaded file and start the installation.
After the installation is complete, go ahead and try calibrating. Check if the problem is resolved.
