Big Watermelon

The Big Watermelon is a prominent fruit and vegetable market located at 1161 High Street Road in Wantirna South. Formerly known as Bushy Park Wholesale, it has been serving the local community by providing fresh, locally sourced produce at competitive prices.

Operating seven days a week from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the market offers a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Customers can expect to find high-quality, ready-to-eat produce that is picked daily at dawn.
The name "Big Watermelon" is derived from a large watermelon sculpture displayed outside the store, which serves as a landmark and a popular photo opportunity for visitors. 

The human impact of the big watermelon is that they have to use a lot of fertilizer to keep up with the demand of the products.  Fertilizer overuse is detrimental to the environment, causing water pollution, soil degradation, greenhouse gas emissions, and biodiversity loss, impacting ecosystems and human health.
