About Crew 9020 & Ship 6020

Welcome to Venturing Crew 9020 and Sea Scout Ship 6020, a youth-led adventure program based in Sandy, Utah. We are a coed Scouting unit for young men and women ages 14–20 who are looking for challenge, leadership, service, and unforgettable experiences.

Our program is built around the belief that the best way to learn is by doing. Members take an active role in planning activities, leading meetings, organizing events, and setting the unit's direction. Whether we're backpacking through the mountains, camping under the stars, paddling on the water, serving our community, or developing maritime skills through Sea Scouting, every adventure is an opportunity to grow.

Crew 9020 and Ship 6020 combine the strengths of Venturing and Sea Scouting into a single dynamic program. Venturing provides opportunities for high-adventure activities, leadership development, and personal growth, while Sea Scouting focuses on seamanship, boating, navigation, water safety, and maritime traditions. Together, these programs offer a unique experience that prepares young people for success in life through teamwork, responsibility, and service.

Our members come from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels. Some have been involved in Scouting for years, while others are joining for the very first time. What unites us is a shared desire to explore new opportunities, build lasting friendships, and become confident leaders.
