The research in AIST for this JST-CREST project focuses on constructing elemental circuits mainly on printed circuit boards utilising the artificial neurons and artificial synapses which are some kinds of emerging electronic devices designed and fabricated in AIST.
The research in AIST for this JST-CREST project focuses on constructing elemental circuits mainly on printed circuit boards utilising the artificial neurons and artificial synapses which are some kinds of emerging electronic devices designed and fabricated in AIST.
Further construction of spiking neural networks combining those elemental circuits and verify their operations are the final targets of the research.

The prototyping may incorporate FPGA; therefore, experience in FPGA circuit design and knowledge of its LabVIEW control are desired.

研究内容は、産総研で作製する人工ニューロンと人工シナプスに相当する電子素子を用いて、スパイキングニューラルネットを構成するための要素回路を作製し、その動作検証を行うことです。要素回路試作はプリント基板実装だけでなくFPGAも援用します。FPGA回路設計経験者でLabVIEWでの制御の知識がある方を歓迎致します。
