Adele Barnett is one of two Science Instructional Specialists at Crowley’s Ridge Educational Service Cooperative in Harrisburg, AR.  Her focus is to support teachers with developing and implementing phenomena based three dimensional science lessons to provide more equitable learning opportunities for students. Prior to joining the staff at Crowley’s Ridge she was a Science Specialist at the Rural STEM Education Center at Arkansas State University for four years.  She taught for many years at Westside High School in Jonesboro, AR.  

 Adele holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and a Master of Science in Educational Theory and Practice degree from Arkansas State University.  She is certified to teach grades 7-12 life sciences, Earth Science, and 5-8 middle school science.  

Adele specializes in developing professional learning opportunities and supporting educators in the area of STEM and Science education. She is excited to share science experiences and professional development with secondary STEM/science teachers:

In her spare time her hobbies include reading, gardening, playing with grandchildren, volunteering at church, and especially travel to other countries.
