Students have the ability to choose their own instrument with some direction of the band director. Some instruments are more suited for students than others. We hold events like our instrument testing day to help solve this riddle for all of our students.
How much does this cost?
We do have band fees that go to the program for multiple uses. Fees provide a method book, some accessories, music, band t-shirt, family day activities, and much much more.

Students do need an instrument to participate in band. Creekside has a limitied number of school owned instruments. Students should practice at home, often. Growth and development on your instrument can be directly related to how much time and effort a student puts into their new instrument. I suggest practicing about 1-2 hours a week on average.
What if my child struggles at home?
That's normal! Students are learning a new skill. We provide support in class and can offer extra help as needed.
