CREDLab is looking for a postdoc in the area of atomistic mechanics/simulations. Interested candidates may contact Puneet directly.
We at CRED always welcome applications from students across disciplines; the only requirements are to be sincere, hardworking and passionate. In particular, we are looking for students having research interests in the areas of Mechanics and Dynamics of Small Scale Systems, Thermodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, and Molecular Dynamics Simulations. The chosen candidate is expected to work independently, advise undergraduate and masters student, and help in writing grant proposals.
If interested, please write to Dr. Patra at puneet.patra@civil.iitkgp.ernet.in along with your Resumé.
We are looking for one postdoctoral researcher with background in Physics, Mechanical, Civil and/or Materials Science. Applicant needs to be conversant with programming and classical mechanics. Candidates having knowledge of atomistic simulation techniques (Molecular Dynamics / Monte Carlo) and statistical mechanics will be given preference. For more details please write to Dr. Puneet Patra. You may need to apply through Institute Postdoc scheme or NPDF, depending on the funding scenario.
We are always on the lookout for bright and motivated candidates. However, at this moment, we are looking for no graduate researcher. We do encourage candidates, with background in Physics, Mechanical, Civil and/or Materials Science, interested in working with CREDLab to write to Dr. Puneet Patra in future.
We are always on the lookout for bright and motivated candidates from within IITKGP. IITKGP students may choose to write to Dr. Puneet Patra, or drop by his office. Please note that all positions in this category are long-term; we do not offer short term (2-6 months) positions.
At present we have no open position for summer internship for students interested in pursuing research. Note the salient points below before you write:
CREDLab prefers internship applications from students who have applied/been selected in the Summer Research Fellowship Program (SRFP) offered by the three National Science Academies of India
Decide one area of research interest, and mention it clearly in the mail. Come up with an interesting problem statement that you wish to solve
If these criteria are not satisfied, you may not receive any response from us.
