CRED Lab

We create, engineer, AND desIGN.

We CReate novel solutions of challenging problems, Engineer answers for optimized performance, and Design new theories/practices. The core belief in CRED lab is: "there is simplicity hidden beneath complex phenomena". We strive to cut through the fat and come up with lean theories and solutions. Please come and join us if you like "your plate clean and your meat lean*".

We have four major areas of focus: Computational Mechanics, Nonequilibrium Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Algorithm development for molecular dynamics and Multiscale modeling. Typical systems that we deal with range from a handful to a few million particles. With the increasing popularity of small-scale devices, it is essential to understand the mechanics and dynamics of small-scale systems. Some aspects of mechanics that have been existing for the last two centuries do not have a solid foundation as the system size becomes smaller. At such small-scales, mechanics is intrinsically connected to thermodynamics, and it is this link we try to exploit to come up with interesting scenarios. Our work spans multiple engineering and physical sciences domain.

Cheers to uncertainty!
