The Programme is part of CLEVER - Creative Leadership and Education Visionary Roadmap project funded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme.
The objective of the programme is to give an overview of business opportunities and innovation potential within creative economy, introduce the business models and value chains in the creative entrepreneurship, practice design thinking tools in developing products and services, and introduce ways to integrate culture and creativity in the core business processes of traditional industries.
The Programme includes hackathon-style intensive course Innovative Solutions in Creative Economy, study visits to local creative industries and design scene, individual mentoring sessions, introduction to Estonian creative industries ecosystem and optional visit to Helsinki, World Design Capital 2012.
The intensive course will be carried out in the format of one-week hackathon, during which teams of students of different backgrounds and countries will be developing design projects in order to create a competitive and innovative business model for a given design product or service and pitch the results to the investor panel.
In addition to practical skills in developing business models, managing projects and using design thinking tools, the course will give an overview of creative economy’s business and innovation potential, opportunities and risks in commercialising intellectual property, and practical experience in working in creative teams. The course is largely based on teamwork, active participation and opportunity to interact directly with sector’s professionals and investors.
