BUSINESS OWNER QUESTIONS
Why should my business have one of your machines in it?
Amusement machines are for your customers. They are entertainment that encourages visitors to stay longer, pass time if waiting, and draw attention. By having our machines you won't have to worry about maintenance, inventory, or up keep.
What does my business benefit?
Earned commission upon collection! We agree to a % term based on your machine choice. A few corporate accounts have a lease or receive payment by check. All you need to do is provide a few square feet of space and then earn money!
How often do collections occur?
It depends. On average most are monthly. Some places are less, like a gumball machine. Very busy places may get restock visits in between collection times.
What if something is wrong with a machine?
Our number is placed on every machine. Anyone can call to let us know something is not working. We try to attend to every issue within just a few days.
We just got a machine from you, but we really want to add another or change it for something else, what do we do?
Just give us a call! We are always changing out machines, adding new accounts, replacing machines and adding more.
CUSTOMER QUESTIONS
What if I just really want a certain duck or keychain I saw in a machine?
Great news! We have added photos to our prize pages. Just send an email with which item you would like to purchase. We will send an invoice with the shipping cost. If you ask while we are restocking we can also sell in person.
I saw an amazing toy for machines somewhere else and you should try to get it.
Just tell us. We are always shopping for inventory and looking for great ideas.
Why is the gum in a gumball machines always so low?
(we get asked this often) We always want the freshest gum. If we are always filling it up all the way it will take longer to use. By letting the gum go very low it ensures the gum is more fresh!
Are claw machines rigged to cheat?
No. Every operator sets the limits on their claw machines. We believe a prize should be won often. If you didn't win the first time, it will likely win within a few more tries. For other machines, such as a Keymaster or Stacker, the settings are very different. We are aware that some don't believe in this same business philosophy.
Why does it seem to always have a coin jam in the machine?
We bet most of you already know. Most of the time we find a penny, nickel, dime, or random items pushed into the coin area. This causes coin jams in all types of machines. Every week we have at least 1 machines with this problem.
FUN QUESTIONS ABOUT US
we get asked these every week
How big is your route?
We have it divided into 5 or 6 smaller routes going North, South, East, West, Central, and south west. If you go from our 2 furthest locations it would be about 5 hours. Each smaller route travel time is about 1-2 hours and takes 3 to 7 hours to do all the stops on a route.
How often do you work?
We work every day. We go on a route collections about 2x a week. From home we are working on inventory, contacting locations, and spreadsheets.
How many machines do you have?
A tricky question. We have some always in storage, some being repaired, and most on location. Just in claw machines is over 75, but we also own capsule stands, gumballs, and arcade games.
Do you make alot of money?
This is also a very complicated question. Our business model tracks gross (all money we collect) then accounts for business cost, commission paid, then the remaining is our net. The net can vary alot between slow months to busy months. We have alot of fun with this business so we would say the pay is good because we enjoy the work.
What is the best part of this type of business?
Its always great landing a new location. Really the very best is getting to see someone win a prize, the business owners enjoying the machines, or a kid running up to help us refill and then we hand out a freebie. We also pride ourselves in full family involvement. Every member of our family plays a role and fully enjoys watching the business grow.
What is the worst part of it?
Losing a location. We don't mind the repairs, paying bills, always needing to sort inventory, and lots of paper/computer work. But when a location doesn't work out and we have to pick up the machine is always a sad day. We pour ourselves into bettering every place but understand it doesn't always work out.
