Andrea Summerskill, Was born in Cali-Colombia. She studied Recreation in Colombia in Universidad del Valle, and worked in the education and social sector for several years until she moves to UK. Her loves for teaching, art and create educational resources are some of her mayor skills.
In 2013 Andrea move to London to study English and found love and soon after started a family, later on gave birth to her first daughter.
Her daughter, inspired her in a new creative path to draw and write children stories, at first the stories were handwrite and crafty made. Sometimes her stories were represented with puppets and at the end of each story her mayor recompense was lot of laughter and claps from her daughter. Her bilingual stories help her daughter to learn easily new topics and individual and social skills, that then her daughter recall soon after hearing the stories. Some of those stories have been published since then such as ´When I learned to Say Hello´ or ´Poem to the Moon´. Later on, Andrea started to work as a self-employed artist and as a teacher in a Spanish club for kids, and part of her teaching was also creating stories with puppets about transports, about animals, about travelling, and so on; All the stories created caused the same effect in the students, a lot of laughter and the easily comprehension of grammar and Spanish vocabulary.
After it and with the support of her family and local community, Andrea decided to improve her illustrations and digital skills so that way she can brings her stories to life in the editorial world.
Alba Ferri: is a Spanish journalist and editor living in London and currently working for a United Nations' organization.
She wrote for Spanish newspapers in her native country for years, as well as worked for communication agencies and institutions as a content creator and press chief. Apart from her degree in Journalism, she completed her academic background with two masters' in International Relations and Diplomacy.
One of the things that she enjoyed the most is writing and helping others to get the best version of their texts. She is in love with the Spanish language and can get charmingly annoyed if she finds proofreading mistakes in a novel, an article or a website: "Words do sound; they must be music".
