If you want maximum battery life, active noise cancellation and a boom mic for calls, choose Creative Zen Hybrid Pro; if you need a featherweight on-ear set with the newest Bluetooth and a wired backup option, choose Monster N-Tune MINI 01.
• Creative Zen Hybrid Pro — biggest strength: Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation that the maker claims cancels up to 98% of ambient noise, combined with up to 100 hours of playtime (ANC off) and a detachable boom mic.
• Creative Zen Hybrid Pro — biggest trade-off: At 282 g with over-ear cups, it is the bulkier and heavier of the two, and it has no wired audio jack.
• Monster N-Tune MINI 01 — biggest strength: A 120 g on-ear design with an ergonomic metal-arched headband and protein leather earpads, plus Bluetooth 6.0 and a Type-C audio input for wired listening.
• Monster N-Tune MINI 01 — biggest trade-off: No noise cancellation at all, and roughly half the battery endurance at 50 hours.
• Who the Creative is for: People who want to disappear into their own audio on long trips, noisy commutes or in open offices.
• Who the Monster is for: Buyers who prioritize light comfort, modern connectivity and a cable fallback over silence.
The Zen Hybrid Pro is built around two ideas: silence and endurance. Hybrid ANC handles the outside world, and when you flip to Ambient Mode you can hear announcements or a barista without pulling the headphones off. Inside, custom 40 mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers handle a 20 Hz–20 kHz range, and the whole thing runs on Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint, so a laptop and a phone can both stay connected at once.
The headline number is battery life. Creative rates it at up to 100 hours with ANC off and up to 80 hours with ANC on. That is a genuinely different category of endurance — you could take these on a two-week trip and plausibly never think about the charger. The included BT-L3 LE Audio transmitter pushes latency down to roughly 20 ms in Ultra-low Latency mode, which matters if you are watching video or gaming and hate lip-sync drift. Broadcast mode lets you share audio to unlimited nearby devices.
Buy it if you want to block out noise, take calls in a busy room, or go a very long time between charges. Skip it if you want the lightest possible pair, insist on a wired fallback, or find over-ear cups too warm for long sessions.
Monster N-Tune MINI 01: Who It's For
The N-Tune MINI 01 plays a different game: light, stylish, and easy. At 120 g it is less than half the weight of the Creative, and the combination of a metal-arched headband and ultra-soft protein leather earpads is clearly aimed at people who wear headphones for hours and hate pressure points. The matte metal finish and "multi-layer mirror" ambient lighting — static or breathing — give it a fashion-forward look that the white colorway leans into.
Connectivity is where Monster makes its pitch. Bluetooth 6.0 with instant pairing and an expanded range means fewer dropouts in big spaces, and multipoint lets you jump between a laptop and a phone with a tap. The 40 mm dynamic drivers cover the usual range, and a Dynamic EQ shifts the tuning across modes like meetings, workouts and commutes. There is also a Type-C port that doubles as both fast charging and a wired audio input, so a dead battery does not kill your listening session — a real advantage the Creative lacks.
Battery life is rated at 50 hours, which is still plenty for a week of commuting. What you give up is noise cancellation: there is no ANC and no Ambient Mode here. Monster backs the set with a 1-year refund, 2-year warranty and lifetime support, and the package includes a Type-C cable and manual.
Buy it if you want a light, comfortable, modern-looking headphone for calls, music and video on the move, and you like having a cable option. Skip it if you need to silence a plane cabin, a train or a noisy office.

In my opinion, the Creative Zen Hybrid Pro is the one I would buy for most people. The combination of genuine Hybrid ANC, up to 100 hours of battery, a detachable boom mic and low-latency LE Audio is a lot of capability in one package, and it covers travel, commuting, calls and gaming in a single set. The Monster N-Tune MINI 01 is the pick I would make only if light weight, the newest Bluetooth and a wired fallback matter more to you than silence — it is a comfortable, capable everyday headphone, but it cannot quiet a plane. Pick based on whether you need quiet or you need light.
Not universally — it depends on your priorities. The Creative wins on noise cancellation, battery life and call hardware; the Monster wins on weight and Bluetooth version. For noisy environments the Creative is the stronger choice.
No. Its spec sheet lists no noise control at all, so it relies on the on-ear fit for passive isolation. If ANC is a requirement, the Creative Zen Hybrid Pro is the one with Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation.
Yes. Its Type-C port handles both fast charging and audio input via a Type-C cable, so you can keep listening when the battery runs down. The Creative Zen Hybrid Pro has no wired audio input.
