Meet the seamstress behind the stitches!
I first picked up a needle and thread at the age of seven through 4-H, and from that moment, I was hooked! One of my proudest sewing moments was creating my sister’s wedding dress — and if that wasn’t enough, I also altered my own wedding gown and made all of the bridesmaid dresses too. I’ve always loved the idea of crafting something special for others, and that passion started early. As a high schooler, I didn’t just sit back and wait for prom — I made my own prom dress, along with a tux for my date! These early experiences laid the foundation for my work as a professional seamstress, and I’ve been altering and creating formal gowns for others for over five years now. My favorite part of the process is starting from scratch, turning an idea into a one-of-a-kind piece, but don’t get me wrong — I also love doing the smaller, everyday repairs and alterations. They all bring me joy, and each project is an opportunity to make something beautiful and functional. Outside of sewing, I’m a mom to four amazing kids and three energetic dogs, and spending time with my family is my top priority. I also work as a Para-educator in a kindergarten classroom at Penns Valley Elementary School, where I get to work with children, another one of my passions. And, when I’m not sewing or working, you’ll find me volunteering as a 4-H leader with the Penns Valley 4-H Club. I love sharing my knowledge about dairy cattle and sewing with the next generation of 4-H members! If you have any questions or want to discuss a project, feel free to call or email. Don’t forget to check out the online booking — I can’t wait to work with you!
