1 box of pasta of choice (spaghetti, penne, rigatoni, etc.)
3 tablespoons of butter
1 ¼ cup of milk
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons of dried or fresh parsley
½ a teaspoon of salt
½ a teaspoon of pepper
1 cup of Parmesan cheese, thinly grated
3 tablespoons of all purpose flour
Fill pot to the halfway mark with water, then cook pasta according to the instructions given on the package
Salt the water to add flavor
In a separate pan, place the butter and garlic and slowly saute until you can smell the garlic (low to medium heat, 1 minute)
Add in flour and whisk ( about 30 seconds), the texture should be thick once you have finished whisking
While whisking, add in the milk and pepper and continue to stir until the entire mixture has thickened (low to medium heat, 7-10 minutes)
Once sauce is completely thickened, add in Parmesan cheese and dried parsley into the sauce
Add cooked pasta to sauce and mix together until the pasta is completely coated in the sauce
