We will give you a guide for using the app to create your own dictionary
Click
to add a new term to the dictionary
After clicking the app shows an input dialog for typing a new term
Type a new term you want to add, for example "Petersen graph"
Then click the "Add" button. The term is now in the dictionary
Click
to add the definition for the new term
Enter the definition of the term or anything you want into the editor
If you want to insert an image into the editor, click
to insert an image from your device at the cursor of the editor
If you want to change the size of the image, first you need to select any text that contains the image you want to change the size
Then click
and choose "Resize the image". It shows the dialog with the sliders
You use the sliders to change the width and height of the image. You can undo the change by clicking
You can change the alignment of the image by choosing the corresponding action. In this example we choose "Align the image to the center"
You can bold a selected text by clicking
If you want to make a selected text italic, you do the same thing as the case of bolding text, but use the icon
instead
If you want to change the color of a selected text, click
to show the color palette
Click the color you want to set up for the selected text
Click the "Close" button to close the color palette and click the "Undo" button to reverse the color
If you want to change the relative size of a selected text, you click
to show the dialog
Then use the slider to change the relative size of the selected text
If you want to make a link to a term that is in the dictionary, first you need to select a text you want to make a link
Then click
to open the alert dialog
Choose the action "Link to a term", it shows a search box
The search box contains all terms in the dictionary. Click the term to which you want to make a link. In this example we click the term "Mathematics"
The selected text is now linked to the term "Mathematics"
If you want to link to a web address, choose the action "Link to a web address". It shows the input dialog for typing a web address
Click "OK" button to make the link
When you finish the work, click
or click again
to save the work
In the non-editing mode when you click the linked text, the app shows the linked term if the text is linked to a term, or opens the web address if the text is linked to a web address
You can type the Latex for mathematical expressions. Click the icon
to see their mathematical forms and click again to go back to the editing mode

In the non-editing mode you can change the text size of the editor by clicking
and then use the slider to change the text size
You can search a term in the dictionary by clicking
to show the search box
Type or click the term you want to search
Next we will show you how to show the linking graph of terms and some operations on it
Click
to open the sidebar
Choose the action "Show linking graph" to show the linking graph of the terms in the dictionary
Remark. If the editor already showed a term before choosing the action "Show linking graph", the linking graph shows only the terms that have some connection to the shown term. Otherwise the linking graph shows all terms in the dictionary.
Click a node to see its corresponding definition
Drag a node to change its location
Drag the control bar to change the height of the drawing
Click
to redraw the graph
Click
to show the dialog and use its slider to change to the radius of nodes
You can change the graph color by clicking
and then choose the action "Change the graph color" to show the color palette
Click a color on the palette to which you want to change the graph color
You do the same thing for the actions "Change the selected-node color" and "Change the text color"
You can delete or rename a term by doing a long click on the term in the search box
You can hide the editing bar by clicking
and then choose "Show/hide the editing bar"
The following new features are available in the new version in My Dictionary Apk
You can export the dictionary data to an external folder by clicking
and choose "Export the dictionary data". The app will ask user to choose a folder. The user must accept the request to access the files in that folder
When the process is finished, that folder will have all the data of the dictionary
In the case you want to import the data dictionary from a folder that contains a dictionary data, you can choose the "Import dictionary data" feature of the app. The app will ask you to choose a folder where the dictionary data is stored.
If you want to keep screen on, tap on the icon
to switch to
Tap again the icon to turn off the feature
The new version has been designed to work fluently with physical keyboard
If you want to type Vietnamese, tap on
to switch to
You can then type Vietnamese with the Telex input method
When editing, you can switch between the two styles of typing by pressing Ctrl+Shift
