Our Story

Our story began with a single person, long before technology or modern tools — someone who walked these trails guided only by his senses and by what the forest taught him every day. That person was Don Rony, who showed us what true passion for the cloud forest means, from tiny microorganisms to pumas and jaguars that, as he always said, “even if we don’t see them, we know they are here.” Over time, others joined this path, learning from him and growing with the same respect, patience, and emotional connection he lived by.

About Us

Today we are a local family team of guides with 5 to 20+ years of real field experience. We work inside the private reserve of Hotel El Establo, 1.6 km from the nearest public road, with exclusive access for our guests — offering peace, safety, and a true connection with nature.

Our goal is simple: to show you the forest the way we see it every day. We guide slowly, personally, and honestly, focusing on your experience instead of rushing or running large groups. We share the forest with the same care and respect with which we feel it as our home.
