Outstanding judges, vendors, and all of the fanfare at the Peppermill headquarters.

A Nevada-based USDA accredited veterinarian will be onsite during the WCC weekend, and able to perform interstate health certificates in accordance with USDA-APHIS and state regulations.

Welcoming the WCC 2022 Official Veterinarian, Dr. Bob Cocanour!

Dr. Cocanour is a USDA accredited veterinarian, and will be on-site at the 2022 West Coast Classic to perform interstate and international health certificates for exhibitors.

Details on cost and more details regarding USDA health certificates to follow soon.

More about Dr. Cocanour

Dr. Cocanour was born in Reno and has lived here his whole life. Upon completion of high school, Dr. Cocanour attended the University of Nevada, Reno, and graduated in 1969 with a bachelors in Zoology. Dr. Cocanour and his wife, Sharon, have nine children and twelve grandchildren, including one great grandchild, Eli. He has been very active in scouting over the years and has led many high adventure activities. He is also an avid road cyclist, and has completed many centuries, double centuries, and has ridden across Nevada on Highway 50 twice. In 1973, he graduated with distinction from Colorado State University, School of Veterinary Medicine, and joined Klaich Animal Hospital in 1974. Throughout the years, he has developed a special interest in canine reproduction, small animal medicine and surgery, “pocket pets” and birds, and volunteers his services to the Wild Animal Infirmary for Nevada by caring for raptors and other wild birds. In 2019, Dr. Cocanour served as the official veterinarian to the ARBA Convention in Reno, performing health certificates for domestic and international travel for rabbit and cavy breeders.
