The Dr APJ Abdul Kalam HPC Awards are meant to recognize outstanding contributions in the field of High Performance Computing work carried in India. This is an annual event entering into its third year. Poster for this year (2019) may be downloaded from here.

Award categories:

• Researcher Category:

This category of award will be presented to individual or group, whose career has been devoted, has made outstanding and sustained contributions in HPC work carried in India.

• Young Researcher Category:

This category of award will be presented to individual, whose is in the early stages of his or her career, who has made promising contributions in HPC.

In each category, there are sub categories.

• R & D in HPC Applications
• R & D in HPC systems ( Hardware and Software )
• HPC Education
• Efficient HPC Facility design and management

Jury:

The Jury panel consisting of eminent scientists, chaired by Professor N. Balakrishnan (Honorary Professor and former Associate Director of Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore) evaluate the nominations and select the award winners.

Nomination Guidelines:

1. Nomination proforma may be downloaded from here
2. The duly filled nomination and information as desired on proforma be sent
3. Name must be as per Govt. identification card
4. It is mandatory to choose only one in each Category and the subcategory of nominations.
5. Proposer must sign/ mention name (in case of soft copy) on the Nomination Paper.
6. Educational qualification must be in chronological order
7. Please mentions National and international awards relevant to HPC community.
8. Achievements and citation must be short and limited to 200 words
9. For each publication, give name(s) of co-authors also. Abstracts, summaries, papers communicated should not be included. No. of publications to be limited to 15. Nominees are free to choose best and relevant publications.
10. List relevant products/ software’s developed by the nominee. If in development stage, nominee should furnish product/ software details along with supporting publications/ patents/ website in respective sections/ additional section.
11. Patents granted with details of Patent No., Commercial Patents, Trade Marks and IP protection should be provided.
12. Although not required, additional letters of support are welcome.
