Information We Collect
When you create an account we collect:
• Email address
• Name (if provided via Apple or Google sign in)
• Profile information you choose to provide during onboarding (such as your goals, weight, height, and answers to onboarding questions)
When you use CraveLab we collect:
• Foods you scan and analyze
• Ingredient searches
• Cravings you log (including triggers, emotions, time of day, and outcomes)
• Photos of meals you choose to upload
• Weight entries and progress data
• Daily check-ins and streak data
• Conversations with the in-app AI Coach (Jamie)
• Scan and craving history
• App usage data and engagement metrics
• Subscription and trial status
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Create and manage your account
• Personalize your experience based on your goals and onboarding answers
• Generate weekly reports and pattern insights from your craving and scan data
• Power the AI Coach and food analysis features
• Sync your data across devices
• Improve app features and performance
• Send account verification emails and notifications you opt into
• Process your subscription and manage trial eligibility through RevenueCat
Third Party Services
CraveLab uses the following third party services:
• RevenueCat — processes subscription payments and manages trial eligibility
• Supabase — stores your account, cravings, scan history, weight entries, meal photos, onboarding answers, and weekly reports securely
• Apple StoreKit — handles in-app purchase transactions
• Apple / Google Sign In — if you choose to sign in with these services
• AI processing — your food scans, craving entries, and Coach messages are processed by AI models accessed through a secure proxy. No personally identifying account information is sent to AI providers; only the content needed to generate a response is processed.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely through Supabase with row-level security, meaning only you can access your own data. We never sell your personal information to third parties.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your cravings, scans, weight entries, meal photos, AI Coach conversations, and all other personal data from our systems.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, we may send reminders, streak alerts, weekly report notifications, and trial expiration reminders. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or in-app Settings.
Health and Wellness Disclaimer
CraveLab is a wellness and habit-tracking app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or psychological advice. Information provided in the app, including AI-generated content, is for educational and motivational purposes only and should not replace professional guidance.
Children’s Privacy
CraveLab is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
