Oregon Battle of the Books is a competition between local elementary schools, grades 3rd-5th. Kids read 16 books before the event, then compete by answering questions. They need volunteers to help run the event and quiz the kids. March 13, they need 5 people after school from 4-6pm to help set up. This year, it will be held at CPE. The Crater Rock Museum offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, including interactive roles on the museum floor, such as presenting pop-up activities or leading scheduled programs, as well as support roles assisting instructors with setup and cleanup. Additional positions include detailed cleaning of exhibits and caring for the museum and preschool grounds.
