Our Services

We provide a range of services for our patients. Here they are listed below and how to access them.

Named Doctor Medical Service

The practice is proud to have an unbroken tradition of providing Named Doctor medical services. This means that each patient at the surgery is assigned to a particular Doctor who will provide the majority of care.

Not only does this help ensure continuity of care, but it means greater efficiency at future appointments for both the clinician and the patient.

This service is not always possible due to service pressure, holidays and other factors but wherever possible - if patients can see their named Doctor, it will be better for all.

Travel Clinic

We offer a full range of travel immunisation, except for Yellow Fever Vaccination. However not all travel immunisations are free on the NHS, so you may be expected to pay a fee. Please book an appointment with one of our nurses to discuss your travel issues. Malaria tablets are not available as an NHS prescription. We are however able to provide you with a private prescription at a cost of £10 per prescription.

Please note that Malaria tablets are now available Over the Counter.

Useful websites to look at before arriving at the clinic:

Chronic Disease Clinics

We have regular Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Stroke and Heart Disease Clinics. Patient suffering from these conditions will be invited at regular intervals to attend such follow-up clinics. Appointments for these clinics are longer than usual appointments. If you are unable to attend for such an appointment please phone the surgery as soon as possible, so we can invite another patient to attend. Please book this at least 2 weeks in advance and be advised that a 6 week baby check will require a double-slot. Please remember to bring your Red Book with you.

Patient Participation Group

The Practice runs a virtual PPG with a few meetings a year being face to face. This should hopefully serve as a platform for us to work together for the betterment of all.
