Day One - fixing drafts
Im wanting to fix up my diagrams to be more detailed and less chicken scratch. I guess thats why their called rough drafts
Day two- research
Im debating on using carbon fiber on the crane. It would be resourcefull if it was made fullyh out pf carbon fiber, but I can't afford that. So I'm debating on using carbon fiber for the small bits in the cranes structure.
Day Three- readjusting
After thinking over the cranes weight capacity I decided to look into forming the crane through carbon fiber sheets. This way I don't have to worry to much about the tilt attachment and would also be able to use a heavier camera if I ever upgrade.
Day 4- readjusting the tripod
I'm still going to create the tripod from aluminum, but I am deciding if I should build the tripod to stretch like a telescope or have multiple bars to escalate it.
Day 5- Looking for a way to forge metal
I realived that for specific parts I may need to make molds and forge iron.
Day 6- Re thinking the tripod
With the current issues I have to face to make the tripods I'm thinking of focusing on the crane itself.
Day 7- Found the tripod to use as the base
Finally found a stable tripod that wont give out on me after gaining some weight.
Day 8- Debating the cranes length
At the beginning I went for the tripod to be 7 feet long but am not wondering if I would be able to make the crane 10 feet long with the materials on hand.
Day 9- re ordering materials
I planned to cut up materials last week but had to recount it since I realized that my tube length would not be as exact as I hoped and is now re configuring the project.
Day 10- still awaiting for my tripod to ship out
It has now been a month behind schedule for the tripod to arrive. There is no picture due to their being no tripod.
Day 100- Acceptance
After delays in resources tools and time I am near the breaking point with this project. No machinist has permitted me to use their tools yet, making me behind in my process. If by mid April I have not developed a base at least I may need to rethink my project.
