I have been a resident of Farmersville for 31 years. My wife Allison and I have 3 wonderful children and 2 grandchildren (and 1 more on the way!). My entire professional career was spent in the financial services industry, including president of First Bank Farmersville before the purchase by Independent Financial. I recently retired as branch president of Texas Republic Bank in Frisco.

In 1996, I assisted in the foundation of Farmersville Economic Development Board 4A as a concerted effort to provide funds for economic development in the city, which ultimately funded over $1M towards the infrastructure of the Collin College Farmersville Campus
Ensured fiscal responsibility and frugality of 4A board enabling a second board to focus on community development (4B)
Founding member of Farmersville Economic Development Board 4B in 1996, which has funded numerous quality of life projects including the splash park, "Sparks of Freedom" fireworks, Spain Athletic Complex, flagpoles and Main Street Program
As a co-chairman of the Home Rule Charter Commission in 2020-2021, I led a group of citizens in writing a home rule charter, giving Farmersville more local governance through its provisions for term limits, recall provisions and powers to initiate legislation through referendum
Founding director of Farmersville Education Foundation in 1999, which to date, has provided nearly $800K in scholarships to students in our community
Liaison to the Tax Increment Financing Zone (TIRZ) board during my 6 year tenure serving on city council and recommended a change in the board by-laws to ensure regular meetings so that a strategic plan could be put in place for utilization of funds
As a member of the Farmersville Planning and Zoning Commission for two terms, I was instrumental in developing the Comprehensive Plan, zoning ordinances, reviewing subdivision plats and assessing the Thoroughfare Plan for the city
