Craig was born in New York and later attended the University of Hartford, where he completed his undergraduate education. Following graduation, he entered the finance industry by joining Lehman Brothers. At the time, Lehman was regarded as one of the central firms in global investment banking, working with institutional clients and creating advanced strategies for market participation.
During his early years at Lehman, Craig learned the skills necessary to operate in competitive markets, including portfolio management, client advisory, and risk evaluation. At this stage, he also began to see the limitations of conventional investment frameworks. He noted that many traditional approaches were insufficient for investors seeking differentiated exposure and higher yields, a realization that would influence the direction of his later career.
Drawing on his experience, Craig co-founded Harley Capital LLC to deliver personalized and transparent financial services. As Managing Partner, he sought to create an independent broker-dealer focused on traditional investment offerings and access to opportunities not commonly available to the average investor.
