CRAI - AI Chat & Roleplay ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information, including text chats and images, is collected, used, and disclosed by CRAI.
A. Information You Provide
Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication details via Supabase Auth (using Google or Apple Sign-In). We do not ask for or collect your real name.
User Content: Text messages, character descriptions, roleplay prompts, and images (such as avatar photos) that you upload from your device's gallery or input into the app for the purpose of chatting or character creation.
Generated Content: The final AI text responses and AI-generated avatars created based on your inputs.
B. Automatically Collected Information
Device Information: We may collect standard device details (such as device model and OS version) to ensure app compatibility and troubleshoot issues.
Usage & Purchase Data: Details about your subscription status (Premium vs. Free), daily message usage, and purchase history (handled securely via RevenueCat).
We rely on specialized third-party services to operate CRAI. These services process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies:
Supabase: Used for our backend database, secure authentication, and cloud storage for your user profile, uploaded avatars, and chat histories to enable long-term memory features.
OpenRouter API: We securely transmit your chat messages and character prompts to OpenRouter. This serves as our AI processing engine that generates the text responses from our roleplay models.
Replicate API: We securely transmit your text prompts to the Replicate API to generate custom AI avatars for your characters.
RevenueCat: Used for securely processing auto-renewing Premium subscriptions, in-app purchases, and managing your subscription status.
Google Sign-In & Apple Sign-In: Used for secure, passwordless authentication.
We use the collected information to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the CRAI app.
Process your text inputs through our AI engines (OpenRouter) to generate conversational responses.
Process your image generation prompts through our image engines (Replicate) to create custom avatars.
Store your custom characters, chat histories, and preferences so the AI can maintain long-term memory and context across your sessions.
Process transactions, manage your Premium subscription status securely via RevenueCat, and track your daily free message limits.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
To provide core features, CRAI may request access to:
Photo Library & Camera: To allow you to upload your personal photos and images from your device's gallery to be used as character avatars.
We retain your account information, custom characters, and chat logs only for as long as is necessary to provide the CRAI service to you and maintain your ongoing roleplays. You maintain full control over your data and can completely delete your account, including all associated characters, uploaded media, and chat histories, at any time via the "Delete Account" option in the App Settings.
We value your trust in providing us your personal information and content, and we use commercially acceptable means to protect it securely within our database infrastructure. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
CRAI is intended strictly for an adult audience. You must be at least 18 years of age to use this app. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If we discover that an individual under 18 has provided us with personal information or created an account, we will immediately delete their account and data from our servers.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page with an updated Effective Date.
