Hello, I'm Joy Charbonneau, owner/manager of Crafty Admin, LLC, and I am excited to share my small business with you. I am married and have two amazing sons and an incredible husband. We have lived in Hampton Roads, VA for the past 24 years. I recently retired from Hampton City Schools, who I credit with inspiring my creative side. I love to create, whether it is creating a theme and decor items for events, crocheting a baby's blanket for a newborn, or setting up Small- or large-scale balloon columns and arches. Most of our items are handmade, primarily built by my incredible husband, who does most of the work, but rarely receives any of the glory that he so deserves.
But my creating does not stop with decor; I also enjoy creating intense Google spreadsheets, forms, etc, that help make administrators' jobs easier (hence the "admin" portion of Crafty Admin). I have created training programs to help guide my fellow Administrative Secretaries into this incredible world of tech. I have also set up a small-scale payroll program to help track and calculate employees' hours. Event Planning fell into my lap when I became a co-race director for a 5K Race with HCS. I am thrilled to say that over the past 10 years we have given out over $100,000 in sponsorships to deserving Seniors.
I am excited to see what is next in my creative world, and look forward to new collaborations and designing opportunities.
