Abigail Arbogast recently presented the work she completed over the past two semesters as part of her RAP program at the 2025 WVU Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium. Her work examined learning abilities in three to four month old infants using a play-based assessment. We are grateful for her time in the CRADLE Lab and wish her every success in her future training and career.
Celebrating Katherine Triplett's Outstanding Research Achievements
The CRADLE Lab is proud to highlight the accomplishments of Katherine Triplett, who demonstrated exceptional productivity and scientific rigor during her eight-week research rotation. Katherine led a project focused on the use of surface EMG in infants between three and six months of age.
Katherine presented her work at the 2025 Van Liere Research Society Induction Ceremony on July 24. She also shared her findings at the 2025 Van Liere and WV IDeA Research Conference, an event that brings together investigators from WVU as well as academic institutions across West Virginia and the broader region.
Her work earned national recognition as well. Katherine’s abstract advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 American Medical Association Research Challenge, placing in the top three percent of all submissions. The AMA Research Challenge is the largest national, multi-specialty medical research forum for medical students, residents and international medical graduates to present their scholarship
Her published abstract and presentation can be viewed here: https://underline.io/lecture/128756-assessment-of-proximal-postural-control-biomarkers-during-spontaneous-play-in-infants-using-surface-emg
