The goal of this project is to improve students’ storytelling and presentation skills by collaborating with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds. Through teamwork, you will learn to craft engaging stories and captivate your audience effectively.
At the end of our international collaboration, you and your team will present your story to the entire class. Get ready to have fun while you learn!
El objetivo de este proyecto es mejorar las habilidades de narración y presentación de los estudiantes mediante la colaboración con compañeros de diversos contextos culturales. A través del trabajo en equipo, los estudiantes aprenderán a crear historias atractivas y a cautivar a su audiencia de manera efectiva.
Al final de nuestra colaboración internacional, presentarán su historia a toda la clase. ¡Prepárense para divertirse mientras aprenden!

In the following link, you will find a PowerPoint presentation where you should add your own slide. Make a slide indicating your name, major, and include one or two photographs of things that represent you, your interests, and/or your country. With this activity, we can learn a little bit about each other before meeting "live" on Zoom.
En el siguiente enlace encontrarán una presentación donde deberán agregar un slide de presentación. Indiquen su nombre, carrera e incorporen una o dos fotografías de cosas que los representen o a sus países. Con esta dinámica podemos saber un poquito de cada quién antes de vernos en la sesión.

Students,
You are invited to connect with students from Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, and the United States at a COIL kick-off zoom event created especially for YOU!
The students joining this special zoom meeting will – like you – be participating in a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project this Fall. This is a chance for you to learn and gain invaluable international experience, while building cross-cultural connections!
Program: "Building Bridges: Empowering Central American and U.S. Students Through COIL Partnerships - Fall 2024"
Date/Time: Monday, October 7th, 2024, at 10:00 am EDT (08:00 am Honduras time)
Opening remarks will be delivered by Laura F. Dogu, U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Honduras.
Representatives from U.S. Embassies throughout Central America also will be joining this important event, as a strong show of support for international education through collaborative experiences.
Past COIL students will share how their COIL participation enhanced their academic and personal growth.
